O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium is the longtime home of NCCU Eagles football, a place where tradition, student life, and the pulse of the community meet under Saturday lights. With a capacity of around 10,000 and a recently upgraded FieldTurf surface, the stadium offers both modern playability and the nostalgia of a storied past. The name “O’Kelly” reaches back to Cadd G. O’Kelly, an early campus steward who helped clear the land that became the university’s first athletic field.
Over the years, O’Kelly-Riddick has hosted more than just football games, it’s the setting for NCCU’s homecoming showdowns, roaring pep rallies, spring “Maroon & Gray” scrimmage games, and signature events like the 2023 National Championship Parade and pep rally celebrating the football team’s HBCU National Championship victory.
