Forge Fencing Academy

Forge Fencing Academy & Club is a vibrant, full-spectrum facility offering Olympic-style fencing for individuals ages 7 and up. With sixteen grounded strips and a state-of-the-art Radical Flooring System, Forge supports all three weapons—foil, épée, and saber—in classes, private lessons, competitive camps, and year-round tournaments. Whether you’re looking to learn footwork in a beginners’ class, sharpen your blade in high-intensity open bouting, or pursue performance fencing in a youth or high-performance camp, Forge provides top-tier coaching, community energy, and a professional environment where fencers can thrive.

Durham Convention Center

The Durham Convention Center is the city’s premier venue for gatherings of all types, such as NC Comicon and Durham Sports Commission events like the Emerging Women in Sports Leadership Summit and the McLendon Experience. . With over 35,000 square feet of flexible event space, including two grand ballrooms, multiple meeting and board rooms, the Center is equipped to host everything from large banquets and trade shows to more intimate seminars and workshops.

Part of the broader Durham Convention & Arts Complex (“DPlex”), the Convention Center is nestled alongside the Carolina Theatre, Durham Arts Council, and Durham Armory, creating an arts-and-culture-rich environment for event planners and attendees alike. Its prime downtown location provides easy access to hotels (including the Downtown Durham Marriott), restaurants, shops, galleries, and a walkable urban vibe.

Inside, the facility boasts a Grand Ballroom that can hold up to about 1,700 people in theater style, plus smaller divisible sections and boardrooms for more focused sessions. Audio-visual, catering, and exhibitor support are offered on site, helping make event planning smoother.

Durham Armory

The Durham Armory is located on the corner of Foster and Morgan streets and is available for rentals for your community or private event, whether it is a fundraiser, concert, wedding reception, seminar or family reunion. Seating capacity is 585 with balcony seating for 314.

Carolina Theatre

The Carolina theatre features the grand 1,000-seat Fletcher Hall and two modern cinemas that host acclaimed events like showings of The Nutcracker and the Nevermore Film Festival, alongside year-round concerts and screenings. With its blend of historic charm, cultural diversity, and a vibrant calendar of performances, the Carolina Theatre continues to serve as both a monument to Durham’s past and a thriving stage for the city’s creative spirit.

The event has been the home of student-athlete experiences for NAIA Football and CIAA Football. 

Historic Durham Athletic Park

The historic, newly renovated Durham Athletic Park is owned by the City of Durham and managed by the Durham Bulls and is available for special events and baseball rentals year-round. The DAP was also the filming location for the hit film “Bull Durham.”  The DAP is available to host single baseball games, multi-game series, showcase events, scouting events, batting practice and tournaments. The ballpark features home and visitor dugouts along with bullpen benches.

The Historic Durham Athletic Park has hosted events like Sandlot Baseball, as well as youth clinics for the ACC Baseball Championship and Home Run Derby X.

Durham Bulls Athletic Park

Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP) is the nationally acclaimed home of the Durham Bulls Triple-A baseball club, made famous by the 1988 movie Bull Durham. Home of the Bulls since 1985, DBAP has been included in USA Today’s top 10 minor league ballparks, as well as Stadium Journey ranking it the number two Triple-A ballpark in the country.  

Conveniently located in downtown in the middle of the American Tobacco Campus, there’s no shortage of bars, restaurants, shops and other businesses surrounding the stadium that contribute to a memorable game day experience.  DBAP has also hosted the ACC Baseball Championship, most recently in 2025. The ACC Championship will also return in 2027 and 2029. 

Throughout the year, the stadium host has hosted additional must-see events, including the Savannah Bananas, Cosmic Baseball, Home Run Derby X and more.
