Sport: Track & Field

Durham’s flagship sports facility, Durham Stadium is an 8,500-seat multi-purpose stadium located in Durham County, North Carolina. The stadium is the home of Northern High School Football and Tobacco Road FC. In 2019, Durham County Memorial Stadium made considerable improvements to the track facilities at the stadium. The track and javelin runway has been resurfaced with a Beynon BS2000RE encapsulated surface and a combination hammer-discus cage has been installed. The stadium has been the host to events put on by local, regional and national organizations including USATF – Youth National Committee, USATF – North Carolina, Big Eight Athletic Conference, Powerade State Games, North Carolina Senior Games and other local club events.

Sport: Track & Field

The North Carolina Central University Track & Field complex includes an eight-lane newly resurfaced BSS 2000 RE track surface, by Beynon Sports. A total of four long/triple jump pits are assessable via two runways along each side of the track. Additionally, the track encompasses two pole vault pits, dual high jump pit accessibility, as well as a javelin runway. The throwing events are housed by a shot put area along with a hammer and discus cage.

Opened in 2015, Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium is located on the west side of Kennedy Tower, sharing the press box with Koskinen Stadium, and is the home to Duke Track and Field. The track features an eight-lane, BSS 1000 track surface, constructed by Beynon Sports.
