Durham’s flagship sports facility, Durham County Memorial Stadium, is an 8,500-seat multi-purpose stadium located in Durham County, North Carolina. Renovated in 2019, Durham County Memorial Stadium hosts a multitude of field sports and track events.  The stadium is called home by the Carolina Flyers Ultimate Frisbee Team, Tobacco Road FC and Shaw University football, men’s soccer and women’s soccer. 

The stadium also has and continues to host premier championship events in the Bull City including: 

  • NCHSAA Lacrosse State Championships 
  • NAIA Football National Championship 
  • USATF Youth Championships 
  • CIAA Football Championship 
  • CIAA Track and Field Championship 

The North Carolina Central University Track & Field Facility, located on East Lawson Street in Durham, serves as the training and competition hub for the NCCU Eagles track and field teams. The facility boasts an eight-lane, newly resurfaced BSS 2000 RE track surface by Beynon Sports, providing athletes with a high-quality running surface. Athletes have access to multiple long/triple jump pits, dual pole vault areas, high jump zones, and a javelin runway. The facility also includes a shot put area and cages for hammer and discus throws, accommodating a wide range of track and field events.

Beyond serving as a training ground for NCCU athletes, the facility hosts various competitions and events, contributing to the university’s vibrant athletic community. Its state-of-the-art amenities support the development of student-athletes and foster a strong sense of school spirit and pride.

Opened in 2015, Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium is located on the west side of Kennedy Tower, sharing the press box with Koskinen Stadium and is the home to Duke Track and Field.
